     Shoals Career Days – Focus on Your Future!

    WHAT:           Shoals Middle School Career Fair

    WHO:             We need ALL  TYPES  OF  CAREERS  REPRESENTED!   

    If needed, please consider partnering with someone else at your business or in your industry to make sure “your career(s)” are represented!

    1,800 – Shoals area 8th graders are invited to attend

    WHEN:           Wednesday, February 17, 2016

    TIMES:          Please make sure your booth is ready to attract students by 7:45

    Florence M. S. students will begin arriving at 8:00. 

    The school should be open by ~7:00 a.m. (or preferably, you can set up on Thurs. afternoon, 3:30+)

                            We will end by 2:00 – new students will be there from 1:15 – 2:00, please plan to stay the entire time

    LUNCH:         Will be provide, compliments of our Sponsors – THANK  YOU!!

    WHAT  TO 

    BRING:         Bring visual aids (a tool, gadget or equipment you use) or

    hands-on activities (a simple project you work on that the kids can brainstorm about) or

    at least handouts (pictures, salaries ranges, job descriptions, skills needed, etc.) –

    to help the kids better understand what your organization or industry does, how you do it, what types of careers are involved, what education & skills are required for those jobs, etc.

    WHY:             This is YOUR  FUTURE  WORKFORCE!!  These 8th graders won’t know what you expect of them unless you tell them!
