Description: This 1.5-hour workshop will discuss the current research underlying significant industry trends and several key developments within the external and internal work environments with an emphasis on the workforce demographic transition from “Baby Boomers’ to “Millennials.” Issues such as understanding and meeting their unique expectations, examining common assumptions about Millennial workers and how an employer’s role has become more complex than any other time in history will be discussed. With the workforce now comprising a blend of multigenerational workers, we will also discuss several best practices for managing workforce turnover and complex multi- generational relationships, as well as the challenges of recruiting and retaining top talent.
