Using Emotional Intelligence and Behavioral Styles To Up Your Coaching Game

Not only must successful HR professionals excel in individual performance coaching, but they must also be able to guide those who manage others into best coaching practices as well.  Even the most well intended coaching often fails to drive lasting behavior change when it does not consider the impact of two critical areas of people behavior: Emotional Intelligence and Behavioral Styles.

This one-hour workshop will lay the foundation for a successful coaching session using both emotional intelligence and behavioral style concepts from both the perspective of the coach and the person being coached!

    Learning Objectives:

    • Understand how and when performance coaching can be utilized to facilitate a change in performance or behavior,

    • Explore the science of how the brain responds to traditional coaching,

    • Discuss the four components of Emotional Intelligence and how they enable performance coaching,

    • Provide a foundation for utilizing behavioral styles (specifically DISC) in the coaching process.
