SHRM Foundation Why you should give

WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN THE GIVE50 CLUB

When you donate $50 to the SHRM Foundation:

    1. Give50 clubYour voice will be heard. The SHRM Foundation receives hundreds of scholarship applications each year. Together with our volunteer scholarship reviewers we hear the stories of each applicant and select the recipients. This is your chance to help select the recipient of this special $10,000 academic scholarship!
    2. You will be the first to know. You will be the first notified of the scholarship opening and first notified of the inaugural recipient! This means you can encourage others to get out and apply and be among the first to congratulate the inaugural recipient.
    3. You will empower an HR professional who has faced a personal or professional road block and has used that opportunity to propel their career forward!

Join the Give50 club and empower an HR professional!

    SHRM Foundation Fundraising Tips

September's fundraising tips come from Lynn Kennedy
SHRM Foundation Director for Colorado SHRM

Four tips for SHRM Foundation Directors and all fundraisers from Lynn:Lynn Kennedy, SHRM Foundation Director, Colorado SHRM

    1. You are not alone! Reach out to Allie and the rest of the SHRM Foundation team to chat about different options to create awareness surrounding the SHRM Foundation and fundraising ideas.
    2. Ask other Foundation Directors from different states and chapters to find out what has worked for them and what hasn’t. They are more than happy to share with you, they have been where you are and want to see you be successful.
    3. Bring together a group. Your chapter/state has lots of great people who have ideas and are willing to help. You may be leading the charge but there are plenty of people around you who will help.
    4. Don't forget your SHRM resources!

Take Lynn's advice and contact Allie for fundraising tips at Allison.Samis@shrm.org!
