From mass shootings, bomb threats and terrorism, to threatening communications and physical harassment, risks in the workplace are growing in number and complexity every year. HR professionals are often on the front lines of such crises--and with the proper knowledge and tools, they can play a crucial role in preventing, identifying and managing threatening situations. But what are those tools? And where does an HR professional even begin to implement a threat management program?

In this program, Kroll’s Associate Managing Director Gregory Boles, a workplace violence and counterterrorism expert and 25-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department, outlines a holistic approach to preventing workplace violence and managing threats that can help you ensure the safety and well-being of everyone at your workplace.

About the Presenter: Gregory Boles is an associate managing director with Kroll’s Security Risk Management practice. An expert in threat management, workplace violence, and school violence, Boles has more than 39 years of law enforcement and counterterrorism experience handling complex and sensitive investigations around the world. He retired from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) after a distinguished 25-year career on the force. At the time of his retirement, he was the Officer-in-Charge of the LAPD Threat Management Unit, the first specialized unit of its kind in the world. Boles is a recognized expert on issues of stalking, workplace violence and school violence, and has appeared on major network news programs including "Good Morning America," "60 Minutes" and ABC News.
