Please RSVP to me no later than Monday, April 17, 2017 by 12:00 noon.    Also, remember that once RSVP’s have been turned in to the conference center by 12:00 noon on April 17, 2017, we will be charged regardless of
whether or not you make the meeting.  I just wanted to remind everyone about the conference center’s rule regarding confirmations.

Dear Comp Group:

I’m sending out the reminder on our April meeting a little earlier than normal.  I wanted to make sure everyone is aware of our speakers for our April meeting so that hopefully you can make arrangements to attend.

We will have Captain Mike Holt from the Florence Police Department to talk to us about “active shooter.”  Most of us probably don’t think about this and most of us may not have an “active shooter policy.” 

Captain Holt will talk to us about what to do in the event we have an active shooter and discuss with us training for implementing an “active shooter policy.”  Kelly Askew will talk with us about nurse case management
of a shooting victim, what is involved in that care, and the pros and cons of caring for a shooting victim. 

This will be an interesting topic and if your company does not have an “active shooter policy,” this will give you some insight on what is involved and hopefully help you determine if your company might need to implement
an “active shooter policy.”
