Summary:  Recent events in the United States have pushed the topics of diversity and justice to the forefront of organizational discussions.  It is no longer enough to recognize the value of diversity; organizations must address perceptions of fairness and inclusion.  In this seminar, we discuss how values-based leadership is the key to the development of fair and inclusive work environments.

    Learning Objectives:

    • Identify four types of values-based leadership styles (authentic, ethical, servant, charismatic)
    • Define four perceptions of fairness in the workplace (distributive justice, procedural justice, interactional justice, climate for inclusion)
    • Understand the role of leaders in cultivating positive perceptions of fairness and inclusion
